Why Go TKE?

There are many reasons to rush TKE. TKE has much to offer. The proof of that is evidenced by being selected by SIUC Student Development as the best (#1) of over 400 registered student organizations at SIUC for the 2007-2008 school year.

Grades: Everyone’s first worries about joining a fraternity is whether they can still achieve good grades. Statistics at SIUC show that freshmen that are Greek actually earn a higher GPA than non-Greeks. With mandatory study hours and many brothers from many different majors available to help you, getting good grades is not tough.

Aaron Stine and David Dotson with the IFC Athletics TrophyAthletics: TKE has won the Interfraternity Council athletic award three years running. TKE has dominated such intramural sports as basketball, flag football, volleyball, and softball since we were reestablished on campus three years ago. It’s not all the big team sports, either. We even have brothers who have participated in table tennis tournaments and tennis tournaments. So whatever sport you like to play, TKE will have a event for you to join.

Networking: TKE has over 250,000 alumni at over 270 colleges and universities since it was established in 1899. That’s more alumni than all of SIUC. This means that wherever you go you’re bound to meet a fellow Teke. We have even had brothers get a job because they met their future boss through TKE.

Tekes cleaned up at Greek Awards, 2008Awards: Every year TKE gets decorated with more and more awards. View this page to see the literal avalanche of awards that TKE won this past school year.

Our chapter at SIUC was also voted a Top TKE chapter in 2007. Not only could you join the best fraternity on campus, but also you could be joining the best fraternity in the nation!
