John S. Heakin (BX 364): Founder, North American Insights. Served as Senior Vice President of Heakin Research, Inc. Heakin Research “introduced the concept of “mall intercept interviewing” - - a process of gathering marketing research for products and services in shopping malls.” (citation) Inducted into the SIUC College of Business Administration Hall of Fame in April, 2000. Currently on the External Advisory Board for the SIUC Department of Marketing.
Kenneth Troutt (BX 491): Founder of Excel Communications, Co-owner of Winstar Farm, and namesake of the Troutt-Wittman Academic and Training Center at Southern Illinois University.
Thomas P. “Pete” Wittman (BX 499): Businessman (Excel Communications), philanthropist. Gave the largest private donation in the history of Southern Illinois University to fund the building of the Troutt-Wittman Academic and Training Center.
Rod Talbot (BX 670): Talbot Asset Management, Current Grand Hypophetes of Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity.
